Talks and guided walks

The Westgate Parks Development Officers are available to provide talks and/or guided walks to groups throughout 2017.

We can provide talks off-site at a venue of your group or organisations choice. During this presentation we can show the progress the Friends of Westgate Parks have made since the project began and future plans. We can also provide a guided walk of the Westgate Parks showing you in person the changes we have made, there is also the opportunity (subject to availability) to have refreshments at Tower House after your tour of the Westgate Parks.

Guided walks and talks can be adapted to focus on specific topics as well as giving a general overview of the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘Parks for People’ project, so please let us know what would be of interest to your group. Topics can include but are not limited to- wildlife, volunteering, conservation tasks and projects, development of specific areas in the parks such as the Physic Garden, our ‘Art in the Underpass’ project.

In the last few years we have provided presentations to – gardening and horticultural societies, local WI groups, university societies and local resident groups.
